Apple is preparing to open its Apple Store in Wuhan, China, promoting the upcoming launch with the release of new wallpaper.
An update to Apple’s retail pages for Apple Wuhan lists the store as “coming soon”. While there’s no official launch date released yet, the changes to the listing indicate that an official store opening could be in a month or two or even a few weeks.
The store’s translated page invites customers to the store, which features “great rivers and lakes of creativity” that “let you make waves as you go.”
As is customary for store openings, Apple released a unique version of its logo for the store. The version depicting Wuhan features swirling sections depicting flowing water that is mostly blue, with orange, yellow, pink, and green highlights.
Apple has also provided the graphic as a desktop wallpaper, which users can download and use on their Mac, iPhone, iPad or other hardware.
The store is located on the second floor, Block C of Wuhan International Plaza Shopping Mall, Jiefang Avenue, Jianghan District, Wuhan.
Apple kept details of the store under wraps, but a Hubei Provincial Government Service Network filing in August 2021 revealed that the store’s interior had been reviewed and approved at that time. The store’s total space is said to be 9,500 square feet, although it’s unclear which portion will be accessible to customers.
The Wuhan store was previously scheduled to open in September 2021, to coincide with the launch of “iPhone 13” and other Apple products.
