If you are a huge fan of a particular video, there is a quick way to make it a live photo on your iPhone’s lock screen.

Live wallpapers work like live photos or GIFs and are a fun way to make your lock screen more exciting.

How to set video as lock screen on iPhone

You will need an iPhone 6S or higher (except iPhone SE) for this trick.

Apple offers a selection of live wallpapers, but it’s more fun to make your own.

If you want to use a live photo in your Photos app, just open it, click the button in the lower left corner and scroll down to “Use as wallpaper”.

Click on it and it should automatically appear as a live photo wallpaper unless you turn it off.

Alternatively, you can turn video into live photo.

Find a video of your choice on your iPhone.

Download and open a popular app called intoLive.

Once you give it access to your camera roll, you can download any video and the app will turn it into a five second live photo.

You can select the part of the video you want in the live photo and add effects.

When you are satisfied, click on “Create” at the top right.

When it’s done, click “Save Live Photo” and it should go to your Photos app.

Then you can follow the steps for a live photo wallpaper mentioned above or go to Settings> Wallpaper> Choose new wallpaper.

This will allow you to select your new live photo and click “Set to lock screen”.

Just press and hold the lock screen and your live photo will be played.
